ETA Awards Maher 5-Year, $20M BPA: Opening the Door to Continued & New Consulting & TA Opportunities

Maher & Maher is pleased to announce a new 5-year, $20M blanket purchase agreement (BPA) award from the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA) to provide the agency with consulting and management services in support of its new online communication and learning platform – WorkforceGPS.org. The BPA also opens tremendous opportunity for any office within ETA to engage Maher’s services in a broad array of technical assistance initiatives, including everything from developing and delivering online blended learning and e-learning training opportunities, to identifying and promoting innovative best practices, and creating online content-like blog posts, discussion threads, newsletters, and the like.

The BPA is advantageous for federal staff because it allows access to Maher services directly – without the need for competitive proposals. This will save ETA staff time and money by expediting the procurement process and tapping needed technical assistance quickly – when and where it is needed.

“We are so proud to continue our support for WorkforceGPS, and thrilled to open the door to such a wide variety of new consulting and technical assistance opportunities in ETA,” said Rebecca Livingston, Director of the company’s Federal Workforce Solutions practice. “Our team stands ready to provide the right support to help the Agency keep pace with the growing demands of the workforce system, especially during this time of significant change.”

WorkforceGPS ScreenMaher has become known for working closely with ETA to deliver a myriad of innovations for the workforce system: the first webinar, the first e-learning courseware, the first Quick Start Action Planner (QSAP), the first online Community of Practice (CoP), the first online chats with national leaders, the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and the first use of digital badges. With this new BPA, the Maher team is positioned to continue bringing ETA the latest and proven trends in human capital development and technical assistance that will advance the goals of the Administration and build upon the momentum of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act implementation.

“This new BPA builds on a long-standing partnership between our firm and ETA,” said Richard D. Maher, President. “It is a solid foundation for the future and acknowledges the incredible quality and innovation our Team has delivered in the past. It is really very rewarding for all our professional staff who have worked so hard, and I’m proud of all of them. When you deliver value for your client, they want to keep coming back – and that is our best measure of success as a Firm.”
