Senior Analyst, Workforce Development/Performance Management

The Senior Analyst will support various U.S. Department of Labor workforce programs, including those that help states and local areas advance performance management models. Maher & Maher works with the agency to develop and deliver technical assistance designed to help states and local areas better collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) data outcomes. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in developing and advancing varied and complex outreach, technical assistance, and training solutions and contribute to the design of technical assistance strategies, including the writing and production of staff guides, online learning, web-based tutorials, virtual events, and best practice reports. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for fostering and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality products and services are delivered to clients on time and on budget.  This position will be part-time and will consider 1099 contractors.  For candidates with the right skill set, we may consider a full-time position.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking to immediately engage a knowledgeable Senior Analyst with a strong background and experience in workforce programs and program performance with demonstratable knowledge of, expertise and/or experience in the following areas:

  • WIOA performance indicators;
  • WIOA reporting requirements and familiarity with the Workforce Integrated Performance System (ideal);
  • Workforce system (across Titles) challenges with new performance requirements
  • Technical assistance and training activity development;
  • Group facilitation;
  • Previous consulting experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to express complex ideas clearly;
  • A self-starter with the demonstrated leadership to head project activities;
  • Comfortably manage work on multiple, concurrent projects;
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical capabilities;
  • Confident in working independently and on teams in a virtual work environment.

Required Experience:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred (such as education, public administration, or business administration).

Location:

  • Anywhere in the United States, but Washington, DC metro area is preferred.

Travel:

  • Candidates must be available to travel a moderate amount within the 48 contiguous states.
