Since joining Maher & Maher in 2013, she has worked on a multitude of workforce investment and training projects across all practices in design, web technologies, and eLearning development. This has extended her expertise to work with ExpressionEngine and Moodle to deliver virtual training grounds and environments. Beyond her technical skillset, she also provides guidance on trademarks and adherence to Title 17 of the U.S. Code regarding copyright protections and media usage. She delivers virtual and in-person training on Microsoft Office products and best practices, and works to maintain a streamlined production process.
Before joining Maher & Maher, Cheryl worked as a Desktop Publisher on the editorial staff of Northern New York Newspapers, as a Web Developer for Underproduction Multimedia, and designed specialty sections and publication covers for the Verizon Yellow Pages through Idearc Media, where she received the Spirit of Excellence Award for streamlining the data management process for their sales staff. She has more than 17 years of experience working with Adobe products and has been a beta tester for new Photoshop CS releases, a supported Adobe software reviewer, and an instructor in advanced Photoshop and Illustrator techniques.
Cheryl earned her A.A.S. from Bluegrass Community College with a double-major in graphic design and web design. She was chosen as the Outstanding Graduate of her class and served as the student representative on an academic panel to adapt existing course materials and requirements to match the evolutionary pace of technological advancement. She was accepted to Mensa in 2007 and earned her degrees in 2008.
