Kelly Burrello joins Maher & Maher as a consultant on the training team supporting the Job Corps Business Engagement Initiative.
In pursuit of her mission to create inclusive workplaces where people thrive, Kelly has spent the past 19 years of her professional career working as a Trainer/Consultant, primarily in the areas of Workplace Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. She specializes in human-centered training curriculum design and facilitation for adult learners with diverse levels of professional achievement, educational attainment, and intellectual ability.
Prior to joining Maher & Maher, Kelly was the founder, and Managing Director of WorldReach Consulting & Training, and a Senior Consultant for the Diversity Training Group, boutique consulting firms specializing in strategic workplace diversity consulting. Kelly served as the project lead and trainer for corporate, federal, state and city municipalities, and NGO clients, conducting training/issue needs assessment, strategic planning, curriculum design and roll out of their diversity and inclusive workplace initiatives. Kelly says the most rewarding and meaningful aspect of her work is engaging the leadership, managers and support staff in the classroom, because it allows her to guide and coach people to listen, observe and empathize with the collection of stories and broad perspectives each of them contribute to a workplace issue.
For 6 years of her career, Kelly served as the Associate Development Manager for Goodwill of Greater Washington, providing oversight to the professional development and training of 1,000 staff members working in its Headquarters, Workforce Development, Retail and Federal contracts divisions. Her most notable accomplishments at Goodwill was to assist in establishing a robust Learning & Development Program that included internal training programs in Management Development certification, Aspiring Manager certification, and specialized professional development training for person’s with intellectual disabilities.
Kelly earned her Master of Science degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University; and her Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations from Trinity Washington University.
