Layli Oliver is a Project Manager and Senior Analyst at Maher & Maher. She has a background in communications, website content management and workforce strategy, where her areas of expertise include apprenticeship and sector strategies.
When Layli joined Maher & Maher in 2015, she took over the management of one of the projects for U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration’s (ETA) Office of Apprenticeship, developing the ApprenticeshipUSA Toolkit. She has since managed two additional projects for the Office of Apprenticeship, as well as for other program areas focused on expanding the understanding and use of sector strategies as a workforce development tool.
Layli is skilled with the software used to manage WorkforceGPS, the U.S. Department of Labor’s home for all technical assistance, and has used that knowledge to advance the work of several federal projects.
Previously, Layli worked at the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development (LWD) on several high-profile projects, including the New Jersey Talent Networks, LWD’s engine for their industry sector strategy. She also spent time as a lead team member of LWD’s Digital Outreach Unit, where she helped to create a new service delivery model for use both online and via the One-Stop Career Centers, and where her research helped to provide the structure on which LWD has begun to build its social media strategy.
Layli earned her Project Management and Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from NJIT, and has a BA in English from Rutgers University.
