Wendy Brors is a Senior Analyst & Consultant in Maher & Maher’s Federal, State & Regional Workforce Solutions Practices. Wendy’s expertise is centered on gaining commitment from diverse constituents across organizational boundaries to build strategic partnerships and networks, drive accountability, and achieve results for national initiatives. She is thrilled to be supporting initiatives to scale apprenticeships in key industry sectors.
Before joining Maher, Wendy served as Associate Director of the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC). In this role, she focused on bridging industry through sector partnerships into Colorado’s talent development network comprised of economic development, workforce development, education and community-based organizations, covering all industries and regions of the state. Prior to joining CWDC, Wendy was Chief Operating Officer for the Colorado Technology Association, as well as Founder and Executive Director for the Colorado Technology Foundation. At the Foundation for Colorado’s tech industry she established competency definitions in partnership with Skillful, spurred the creation of IT career pathways, grew the “T” in STEM, and initiated work-based learning programs including supporting the launch of CareerWise Colorado. During the first 20 years of her professional career, Wendy held a variety of business operations and IT positions at companies including Sun Microsystems and McKinsey & Company.
Wendy obtained a Certificate in Executive Management from the CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business Executive Development In Residence program and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. She earned an M.A. in Economics from The American University, a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, and a Certificate in Economics and French from L’Universite de Paris, La Sorbonne.
